Privacy & Data
Mitzvah Match — a JHubLA community — handles your information the way we'd want ours handled: quietly, carefully, and only for the purpose you gave it to us.
Last updated: August 2026
What we collect
Only what you choose to share with us: the answers in your application (name, contact details, age, background, values, what you're looking for), anything you tell us during your consultation, and basic technical information such as pages visited, collected through our website and our application form provider.
How we use it
Your information is used strictly for confidential matchmaking purposes — reviewing your eligibility, preparing for your consultation, and considering potential introductions. We do not sell your data, we do not rent it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who sees it
Your application is reviewed by the small Mitzvah Match matchmaking team and Rabbi Mordechai Teller. When we consider an introduction, we share only the limited details needed for that specific introduction — first name and relevant context — and only after we believe it's a genuine fit. We never publish your profile anywhere.
Service providers
We rely on a few trusted providers to operate: our application form provider (Typeform), website hosting, and email. They process data on our behalf under their own security commitments and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand which pages are useful. You can accept them via the notice in the corner of the site, and you can clear them anytime in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your application while you're active in the process and for a reasonable period afterward, in case you return. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
Email hello@mitzvahmatch.com to access, correct, or delete your information, or to withdraw from the process. We'll take care of it promptly.
Security
We limit access to your information to the people who need it and use reputable providers with encryption in transit. No system is perfect, but we treat everything you share as confidential.
Terms you agree to when applying
- 1Mitzvah Match does not guarantee a life partner, marriage, a set number of dates, or any particular outcome. Matchmaking is a human, best-effort process.
- 2Program facilitation. Consultations and introductions through Mitzvah Match are provided by Rabbi Mordechai Teller and the Mitzvah Match team in the capacity of program coaches and facilitators. This is a personal introduction and coaching program — not a licensed matchmaking, dating, or marriage-brokering service, and no aspect of these services should be understood as such.
- 3These terms — along with our process, pricing, and program details — are subject to change at any time.
- 4You agree to pay the applicable program fee once your consultation with the Rabbi takes place.
- 5Submitting the application does not mean you are accepted. Not everyone who applies will be eligible.
- 6Eligibility criteria are set at our discretion and may change at any time.
- 7In this coaching and facilitation capacity, Mitzvah Match is not responsible for the conduct, statements, or behavior of any person you are introduced to, or for the outcome of any date or relationship. You are responsible for your own safety and decisions.
- 8Your information is kept confidential and shared only as needed within the matchmaking process, as described in our Privacy & Data page.
These terms are subject to change at any time.
